A location is a place where each of the products found in the warehouse is stored. Without locations, operations cannot function correctly as it affects the picking processes, stock, returns, and the vast majority of processes.
In the side menu of the Amphora App, go to 'Inventory' and select 'Locations'. There you can perform various actions on the locations: Create, Exchange, Transfer and Check.
Next, we will explain how to use these features.
How to create a location?
During the onboarding process, you will have learned how to create locations, but here we provide the tutorial so you can access it whenever you need.
How to exchange locations?
Exchanging locations involves transferring the content of each one to the other, reciprocally.
To perform this action, go to 'Swap locations'.
Follow the steps shown by the App, that is, scan the two locations you wish to exchange and confirm the process.
IMPORTANT!
Remember that after confirming the action in the App, you must exchange the physical products at the locations in question.
How to transfer a location?
Transferring a product involves moving the contents from one or more locations to another. It can also be transferred to a pallet location.
To perform this action, go to 'Transfer locations'.
Scan the location from which you wish to transfer the product. Then, add the amount of product you want to transfer.
If you wish to transfer product to more than one location, press 'Add transfer location' and specify the quantity.
WARNING!
You can see all the locations that contain the same product by pressing the button in the top right corner.
Now you must select the destination location of the product. You can transfer it to a location that already contains the same product or select a new one.
To complete the process, scan the location you have selected, confirm the action, and physically transfer the product to the destination location.
How to check a location?
Checking a location is useful for finding all its information.
To perform this action, go to 'Check location'.
You can scan the location or search for it manually. You will find the information about the product it contains and the quantity. Furthermore, you will also be able to empty the location.
Pallet locations
Pallet locations also have their own actions: Create, Relocate and Check.
In the tutorial to learn how to create locations, you will also find the instructions for the pallets.
The function 'Relocate product' follows the same method as 'Transfer locations'.
In the case of 'Check pallet', it is exactly the same as in the locations.
